AprilAire 8062 Temperature & Humidity Support Module for 8870 Thermostat
Wired temperature and humidity sensing for legacy AprilAire 8870 communicating thermostat systems.
The AprilAire 8062 TrH Support Module adds remote temperature and relative-humidity sensing to a compatible AprilAire 8870 communicating thermostat. DIP-switch configuration allows its sensor inputs to be used for monitoring, control or multi-location averaging.
The module contains onboard temperature and humidity sensing and can also use a compatible remote temperature sensor when the installation requires sensing away from the module location.
Key Features
- Designed for the legacy AprilAire 8870 communicating thermostat architecture.
- Onboard temperature and relative-humidity sensing.
- Configurable monitor or control functions.
- Supports temperature and humidity averaging with multiple modules.
- Up to four support modules can be connected to one compatible thermostat.
- CAT5 communication wiring to the thermostat.
- Published thermostat-to-module distance up to 1,000 ft.
- Remote temperature sensor wiring supported up to 300 ft.
Application & Compatibility
This is a legacy communicating-system accessory. It is not a Z10 wireless sensor and should not be substituted for S84/S86 sensor accessories. Verify that the existing system is based on the 8870 support-module architecture before ordering.
