Dealer decision summary: The Lutron Maestro LED+ Pro Max MA-PRO is the phase-selectable standalone Maestro dimmer for broad professional load compatibility and true multi-location dimming with Maestro companion controls. Specify it when the project needs Maestro tap/raise-lower operation, preset-level behaviour and up to 10 dimming locations.
MA-PRO supports up to 250W dimmable LED, 500W ELV, 400VA MLV, or 500W incandescent/halogen at 120V. It also supports compatible dimmable fluorescent ballasts and Lutron Hi-lume 1% 2-Wire (LTE) LED drivers within the published ratings. Neutral is optional for LED and incandescent/halogen and required for ELV, MLV, fluorescent ballasts and Hi-lume LTE drivers.
When to specify MA-PRO
- Standalone Maestro projects requiring LED, ELV, MLV and incandescent/halogen flexibility.
- Multi-location projects where dimming is required from every location using MA-R companion dimmers.
- Applications where preset level, fade-time, trim and phase programming are part of commissioning.
- Projects benefiting from RTISS line-voltage compensation when the neutral is connected.

Multi-location and commissioning
Use MA-R Maestro companion dimmers for 3-way, 4-way and larger multi-location dimming. One MA-PRO can be used with up to nine companion dimmers; total blue-wire length between all controls must not exceed 150 ft (45 m).
- Tap switch recalls the preset light level; raise/lower rocker provides fine adjustment.
- Advanced programming supports preset level, high/low trim, fade rates and phase selection.
- FASS front-accessible service switch provides local service isolation at the control.
- Power-failure memory restores the previous state after power returns.
Important application notes
MA-PRO is a standalone Maestro control, not a Caséta, RadioRA 3 or HomeWorks wireless dimmer. For LED loads, use only products identified as dimmable and verify compatibility when required. A 3.5 in (89 mm) deep wallbox is recommended; 2.25 in (57 mm) is the published minimum.
Model and ordering reference
Family model: MA-PRO. Gloss and satin finish variants use MA-PRO-XX model numbers. The new Canadian/on-shelf White package is MA-PROR-WH-C; the added packaging letter identifies package format rather than a different electrical control. Use MA-R companions for multi-location dimming and coordinating Claro wallplates as required.
